Weigh-in Details

While you are only required to attend 1 weigh-in, you are allowed to go to both weigh-in events.  It can be helpful to get a preliminary weight of your Scout's car in case you need to make modifications before final submission at the second weigh-in.  All cars must be submitted by the end of the second weigh-in.  Please be aware that your personal scale may be different than the scales we will be using to officially weigh the cars.  The weight determined by our scales is the official weight and will be the only acceptable measurement.  Weigh-in admission times are also in the chart above.  Please try to show up close to the correct time of your rank for the purpose of avoiding long waits.  Sibling cars can be brought at the same time as your Scouts allotted time slot.

Please bring your car in a shoebox-sized box, packed with newspaper or something similar to protect the car during transport.  Also please make sure the car is marked with your Scout's assigned number (on the hood or towards the front of the car) and the box is marked with your Scout's name, rank, den number, parent phone and assigned car number.  Once you submit the car, they will be "impounded" until the actual race.  No modifications can be made to the car once it is submitted.

Please see the link below - volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, and other positions during the race.  It is especially helpful for our newer parents to get involved in this event, so they can learn the necessary steps needed to keep this day such a great success for years to come! This year there are also positions needed to help out at the district derby as well.
